Hand thrown by Tatsuro Seki for Asemi Co.
Iga-yaki is has tiny pebbles inside the gaerome clay which give the cups their distinctive rough look; both sturdy and heat resistant.
Iga pottery is said to have roots in the Nara period (AD 710 - 794).
Approximately 1000mm tall and 70mm wide with 230mL capacity.
Made in Iga, Mie Prefecture.
